We do not collect your blood type. We also do not need to know your GPA.
2. Why We Collect This Information
Your information may be used to:
- Sign you into ToolBench
- Display your account information
- Show homework for your selected classes
- Maintain your personal homework status
- Display shared resources
- Remember bookmarked resources
- Manage Snack Collector rotations
- Display announcements

In short, ToolBench mainly needs to know who you are and what classes you are in.
It does not need to know your deepest fears.
3. Your Email Address
Your email address is used for authentication and account-related communication, including password reset messages.
"Heyyy bestie ðŸ˜ðŸ”¥ check out this amazing offer!!!"
ToolBench will not use your email for that sort of thing.
4. Your Display Name
Your display name may be shown to authenticated ToolBench users where required by the site's features.
This does not appoint you Supreme Ruler of Resources.
5. Profile Pictures
ToolBench may store a path or URL for your profile picture.
Please choose something reasonably appropriate.
We strongly recommend against:
- Extremely blurry screenshots
- Images containing twelve watermarks
- Pictures of classified military installations
- A photo of your homework as your profile picture
- A 17 MB image of a potato
6. Homework Information
Assignments may contain titles, descriptions, classes, assignment types, due dates, and creator information.
Your completion status is personal to your account.
If you mark an assignment complete, unfortunately everyone else still has to do it.
7. Resources
Resources may contain Google Drive and Google Docs links.
ToolBench provides the link but does not control the contents of the external document.
If Google says: "You don't have access."
That is not a ToolBench server secretly plotting against you.
8. Snack Collector Information
ToolBench may store Snack Collector schedules and historical rotation information.
This is used to prevent the same students from being selected constantly.
The system attempts to be fair. Your friends may still accuse you of bribing the algorithm.
9. Cookies
ToolBench may use browser storage to remember preferences such as your selected theme.
The cookie icon does not mean cookies are being shipped to a server.
Please stop trying to eat the interface.
10. Data Security
Reasonable measures are used to protect ToolBench accounts and information.
However, no website is perfectly secure.
If ToolBench stops working, please do not immediately announce:
"THE DATABASE IS GONE."
It is probably just Tuesday.
11. Who Can Access Information
Your profile information may be visible to authenticated members where needed for ToolBench functionality.
Authorized Editors and Administrators may have additional management access.
12. Data Removal
Information may be removed through authorized management procedures.
Deleted information may not be recoverable.
There is no:
"Undo Delete Everything"
button.
13. Third-Party Websites
ToolBench may link to Google Drive, Google Docs, and external educational tools.
Those websites operate independently and have their own policies.
Once you leave ToolBench:
Godspeed.
14. Changes to This Policy
This policy may change when ToolBench changes.
Buttons may move. Pages may be redesigned. Something may turn purple for no reason.
15. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy should be directed to the person responsible for maintaining ToolBench.
Please do not yell "WHO MADE THIS WEBSITE?" across the classroom.
